Associate Goals

A way to define and track monthly goals for your associates

With the Associate Goals feature, you will be able to define monthly goals for each associate. These goals can be displayed on Dashboards, Commission Report, and a brand new Associate Goals report.

Goals will be available for many things such as number of items sold, dollar amount sold, service jobs, opportunities, and more. Additionally, each month can have a different set of goals allowing you to account for seasonal variations.

Option to require signatures using Cardknox's signature capture device

Currently only available for Cardknox customers, Cardknox Signature Capture devices allow you to capture a customer’s signature digitally through POS for service job intakes and/or pickups.

With the addition of a new System Option, you also have the ability to choose whether or not those captured signatures print on your receipts.

Appraisal Revamp

A full revamp of the Appraisals module throughout Edge

The Appraisal module of The Edge has been revamped in both POS for intakes and under the Services menu for better managing your Appraisals to completion. With additional fields and search options, as well as reorganized screens, managing Appraisals has never been easier and more convenient.

From the Services menu, you can now add Appraisal documents from outside sources in approved formats, such as PDF, for immediate viewing and printing from the View tab. Additionally, the Appraisal Report has been updated to include Liabilities.

Rewards Notification

New templates and rules for sending notifications on Rewards activation and balances

New Notification Templates have been added to the Notifications feature allowing you to send emails and/or text messages to customers when a Rewards card has been activated and updates on Rewards balances.

You can create Automation Rules that match a specific criteria and when that criteria is met, the notification will be sent to the customer. Rewards Card activation notifications ONLY happen when a new card is activated at POS. Notifications for Rewards Balances can be sent from the Rewards tab on the Customer Record and the Rewards tab on the Customer Display at POS.

New tabs added throughout Edge that show the most Recent Activity

New Recent Activity tabs have been added to Customers, Customer Sales, Inventory, Opportunities and Services that display the most recent activity associated with that feature.

Limited to the 20 most recent changes, with one line per Associate and one line per Item change to maximize the space for most relevant changes. Please note that you will ONLY see the most recent activity once updated. This feature does not backdate, meaning you will not see any activity prior to updating to this version.

A new field for Repy To email address has been added for Email Notifications. This allows you to manually update the reply to email address to another email address, such as a specific Repairs department email if for Repair notifications, as opposed to the default email set as your Notification email under Administrative > Email Settings > Notifications.

A Report/Print button has been added under Admin > QB > Setup Integration that will display a report of your store's QuickBooks mapping.

Nickname Field

The Customer Nicknames feature was developed to allow for adding Nicknames to a Customer Record. This allows you to enter a customer’s preferred name, or Nickname, while still entering a customer’s legal name in the First Name field.

Camera Controls found throughout Edge have been updated to a more user-friendly interface with all controls now being together on one screen. This update also expands Edge compatible cameras to include more Windows-based cameras. These controls also work with the new GemView camera.

Paying your state taxes has never been easier with the addition of the TaxJar report. Found by going to Reports > Activity > TaxJar, the TaxJar report was developed to assist in exporting your Sales Tax in a format designed specifically for use with TaxJar so you can upload your export into TaxJar, verify you are in compliance with your taxes, then pay your correct state taxes with confidence as a result.

Vendor Import

A new Vendor Import wizard was added under Inventory > Vendors > Vendor Import. A useful tool when looking to import a list of new Vendors into the Edge at once, especially helpful for new Edge users, you can import your vendor list in one of 3 approved import file types (CSV, JSON, XML) and then step through the remaining wizard screens to map your Vendor list appropriately for importing. Please note, only NEW Vendors will be imported. Duplicated Vendor IDs will be excluded from your import.

Store Filter Lockdown

With the new System Option, Lock Store on Find Screen, you now have the ability to control whether your Associates can access the Store filter on Customer, Item, and Service Find screens. This is set to Allow by default but you have the option to Not Allow access or set it to Ask Permission upon access, prompting them to enter their ID and Password.

Inter-Store Transfer

Multi-store RFID customers can now use RFID for Inter-store Transfers.
